What is a Dermal Clinician?
A Dermal Clinician is a university qualified health professional with specialised knowledge in skin science, dermal therapies, and the management of acute and chronic skin conditions. Dermal clinicians apply evidence-based, non-surgical interventions to support skin integrity, function, and overall skin health.
With a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, cosmetic chemistry, all laser and non invasive skin treatments, dermalogical skin conditions, dermoscopy, lymphatics and wound care. Dermal clinicians work across clinical, medical, and aesthetic settings. They assess and manage a variety of skin presentations such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, scarring, and photoaging, while also providing education on prevention and long-term skin health.
Common treatment modalities we are qualified in & you will see us using include laser and light-based devices, chemical peels, lymphatic treatment, low-level light therapy, non invasive skin treatments and integrated skin care planning. Dermal clinicians often collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, including dermatologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
